The Contragender Flag

Contragender is a gender identity describing someone who feels that their gender changes during the day versus night. One who is contragender may feel like a woman or girl during the day, and like man or boy during the night, or any combination of genders.

Someone who is contragender can be assigned any sex at birth. This term can be used for anyone who is genderfluid, but feels that their gender changes more during the nights and days.

History & Flag

Contragender was coined by FANDOM user Hoixe. The contragender flag was created by the same person. The yellow represents daytime. The pink represents womanhood, and is associated with femininity. The white represents all non-binary genders. The light blue represents manhood, which is associated with masculinity. The dark blue represents nighttime, when one’s gender shifts.
