A demigirl (also called a demiwoman, demilady or a demifemale person) is a gender identity describing someone who partially, but not fully, identifies as a woman or girl, whatever their assigned gender at birth. They may or may not identify as any other gender in addition to feeling partially a girl or woman.

demifem (Also called demifemme or demifeminine [1]) Is another term for demigirls who don’t feel comfortable with having a gendered term (female, woman, girl; etc.) in their gender label, possibly from being agender, but it doesn’t have to be.

Demigirl can be used by any AFAB, AMAB or AXAB individual. One may feel more or less like a girl; it varies from person to person. Some demigirls may experience physical discomfort or dysphoria.

The male equivalent to demigirl is demiboy, the non-binary equivalent is deminonbinary, and the neutral equivalent is demineutrois. There are also demiagenders which are people who feel partly agender and partly another gender (usually a non masc, fem or neutral gender, example: partly aporagender). Demigirl can also describe someone assigned male at birth who is transfeminine but not wholly binary-identified, so that they feel more strongly associated with "female" than "male," socially or physically, but not strongly enough to want to identify as a woman. Demigirls may also identify as demigender, non-binary and/or transgender.

The white represents gender neutrality or a questioning and shifting of gender. The pink represents the traditional color used for femininity, which is associated with womanhood. The shades of grey indicate the partial nature of the gender.

Orange represents nonbinary womanhood, energy and encouragement. Yellow represents being outside the binary, hope and happiness. Purple represents mix of genders, peace, pride and independence.

The Demifem flag was created by Reddit user loving-intellectual on August 15, 2021.
