Speculogender or Mirrorgender is a form of gender fluidity in which ones gender may fluctuate, change, or adapt based on the people they are around. For example, one may feel masculine around a group of men, or androgynous in a mixed group.

The term speculum first originated from the historical language of Latin. Upon being translated, Anfrom means “mirror”, specere means “to see; to look at”, and ulum means “forming tools of performing a verb”.
