A few years ago I read a very interesting bookA Door into Ocean . If you look it up the wiki says that it's a feminist book. But why? Because people can't see through the biological sex of and individual. To get straight to the point basically there was a planet inhabited by only females and they lived a very peaceful life. One might think that "ye women simply superior to men" but the book does not state that. The reason behind it was simple. They kept the population in check. The lived in relatively small groups they knew each other and every night they gathered around to learn something from the other groups. After meeting males and females from other planets they did not treated males any differently than those females.

One moral of the book was that it matters WHO you are and not WHAT you are.
